About the Founder and Director of EduKaytor: Kaylene Baron

Hello, welcome to my website!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kaylene Caroline Baron. I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I finished my matric in 2011 from South Peninsula High School. After matriculating, I pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). My teaching subjects are Natural Sciences and Life Sciences. Both qualifications were obtained at Stellenbosch University. I also completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci) Honours in Medical Biochemistry at the University of Cape Town.

Having both a Science degree and a Teaching certificate is helpful with tutoring. As you have the benefit of having a trained professional who works in the industry where I apply everything that I tutor every day. The PGCE enables me to be able to explain the content better to ensure that your child understands the content better. 

 

If I am not tutoring, I work full-time as a Laboratory Technician. And in my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing with my dogs and playing the piano.

I started EduKaytor as I have been in the business for 5 years currently. I do have plans to expand my subject offerings as well as employ more tutors soon. In the meantime, I also work for Teachme2. Their website will be on the subject offerings page.
